The Loyola Maritime Law Journal is still accepting submissions for publication in Volume 25 (2025–2026).
The Loyola Maritime Law Journal is a student-edited scholarly publication of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. The Journal publishes original content on current legal issues in maritime, aviation, and space law. We invite the submission of content of all types (e.g., Articles, Essays, Comments, Notes, etc.) from practicing lawyers, judges, and academics for publication. While we consider submissions of all lengths, most of our published pieces run between fifteen (15) and thirty-five (35) pages.
We request that submissions be in Microsoft Word format (.doc, .docx). The Journal uses footnote citations. Accordingly, please format all citations using The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (22nd ed.) guidelines. All statements of law or fact should be footnoted. Opinions of the author need not be cited.
How to Submit:
Please submit manuscripts electronically via Scholastica OR via email to maritimelawjournal@loyno.edu.
Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis, but early submission is encouraged for full consideration in Volume 25.
For questions or additional information, please contact the Editorial Board at maritimelawjournal@loyno.edu.
We look forward to your contributions to advancing the scholarship of maritime law.
